Our Mission
At Broadleaf Midlands Tree Care, we are aware that tree surgery is historically not a carbon neutral industry and so, where we can, we pledge to make environmentally responsible decisions when planning our business growth. We have recently created our 'Review Promise' which will run alongside our continued 'Planet Promise' initiative to support the plantation of trees and in turn, support reduction of Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere, along with various other environmental benefits.
Planet Promise
The idea for our Planet Promise originally came from our owner’s daughter. Brandon and Kimberley's eldest child, Brooke (aged 11), had become a passionate environmentalist whilst learning about deforestation at school. Brooke was unhappy with the idea of her father cutting down trees, as a profession, and after a very interesting discussion, our Planet Promise was born. The Planet Promise pledges to ensure that a new tree is planted for each tree that we remove. For each tree above 2m in height that is removed by us, we promise to donate, out of our profits, to One Tree Planted, guaranteeing the planting of one sapling within the UK & Ireland.
Review Promise
We care deeply about the planet and creating a business that gives back to nature. That’s why, on top of our current Planet Promise initiative, we’re pleased to announce that we are now also committing to planting a tree for each new Review that we receive. Trees clean our air and water, create habitats for biodiversity, contribute to our health and well-being and create jobs for social impact. We’re honoured to have reforestation through One Tree Planted as an integral part of our business model.
One Tree Planted
One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) non-profit on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Their projects span the globe and are done in partnership with local communities and knowledgeable experts to create an impact for nature, people, and wildlife. Reforestation helps to rebuild forests after fires and floods, provide jobs for social impact, and restore biodiversity. Many projects have overlapping objectives, creating a combination of benefits that contribute to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
